JOSEPHINE BROWN

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Josephine E. Brown of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dennis Cooley officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. to service time.

Brown, 72, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1996, at her home.

She was born March 19, 1923, in Jonesboro, daughter of Paul and Edith Newton Schaefer.

Brown had been a bookkeeper at Anna Feed and Paper and at H&R Block. She was a member of Salem Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Michelle Elkins of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sons, Darryl Brown of Rockville, Md., Rodney Brown of St. Louis; a brother, Frederick Schaefer of St. Louis, and four grandchildren.
