ANNA, Ill. -- Josephine Boyd, 93, of Mount Vernon, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Mount Vernon Care Center.
She was born May 12, 1911, in Raleigh, Ill., daughter of Walter L. and Estella Graham Cain. She and Elbert J. "Jimmy" Boyd were married July 5, 1930, in Anna. He died Feb. 17, 1990.
Boyd was a member of First Christian Church in Anna. She and her husband were fruit farmers in Anna and then moved to Indiana, where she was a nurse aide.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Rendleman of New Carlisle, Ind., Judy Holtz of Mount Vernon, Cynthia Moritz of Walcott, Iowa; a son, Phil Boyd of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from noon to service time Friday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dee Armes officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
