Joseph Amuel Young Sr., 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of John and Ollie Price Young. Survivors include a son, Joseph Young Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Christy Young of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Robert Young of Cape Girardeau, Charles Young of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Christopher Kight, Kayla Barry, Shaine Barry and Kayden Barry; and a son-in-law, Steve Barry of Cape Girardeau.. ...

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Misty Young.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Troy Truitt officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
