MINNITH, Mo. -- Joseph "J.D." Doyle Warren Jr., 75, of Ingleside on the Bay, Texas, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his home. He never recovered from two heart attacks. MINNITH, Mo. -- Joseph "J.D." Doyle Warren Jr., 75, of Ingleside on the Bay, Texas, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his home. He never recovered from two heart attacks.

J.D. was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Minnith to Joseph Doyle Warren Sr. and Anna Ruth Lorentz. He was married June 9, 1967, to Sharon K. Sams, who survives him.

He was active at Central Baptist Church in Ingleside. J.D.'s favorite song was "Amazing Grace." He was also an active member of C-BARC (Coastal Bend Amateur Radio Club), a retired member of ICC (International Code Council) and a past member of RSES (Refrigeration Service Engineers Society).

J.D. was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Alcor as a machinist's mate third class.

Surviving siblings include Carl Warren of Bossier City, Louisiana, Charles O. Warren of Jasper, Texas, Gloria J. Mecham of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis Chasteen of Horn Lake, Mississippi, and Mary L. Carpenter of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

He was cremated with no services. His ashes will be distributed over the water.
