TILSIT, Mo. -- Funeral for Joseph Edgar Sebastian of Highland, Mich., was held Nov. 14 at Elton Black and Son Funeral Home in Highland. Allen Parker officiated. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Sebastian, 79, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, in a hospital in Pontiac, Mich.
He was born Nov. 8, 1921, at Tilsit, son of Lawrence and Minnie Baer Sebastian. He and Loretta Brown Bray were married Nov. 10, 1951.
Sebastian served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dorothy Boyne; two stepsons, Gary and Randy Bray; three half brothers, Otto Werner of Edwardsville, Ill., Ervin and Wilfred Werner of Jackson, Mo.; a half sister, Elvira Engert of Oak Ridge, Mo.; a stepbrother, Albert Werner of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a grandson; 10 stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a half sister and two stepbrothers.
