PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Joseph Robert Meyer of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. David Pieplow will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30 a.m. to noon today.

Meyer, 32, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 18, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joe and Norma Ruebel Meyer. He and the former Nancy Jo Thieret were married March 21, 1992.

Meyer was a security officer with St. Louis Security Services. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282, Disabled American Veterans Post 45, AmVets Post 94, Masonic Lodge 670 AF&AM, all in Perryville, and was a Fourth Degree Knight with KC Council 1111 in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; his mother of Perryville; a brother, Bobby Ward of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Louise Stauffer of Rockford, Ill., Brenda Borgfield and Mary Gaston of Cape Girardeau.
