DEXTER -- Funeral service for Joseph Ruller Moore of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Revs. Dale Rickman and Jimmy Kirby will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.
Moore, 74, died Monday, April 1, 1996, at his home.
He was born March 1, 1922, at Bessville, son of Will S. and Ada A. Killbreth Moore. He and Norma Brotherton were married Sept. 5, 1942, in Poplar Bluff.
Moore had lived in Dexter since 1948. He was a retired farmer and had been a road maintenance worker with Liberty Township. He attended Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronnie Moore of Dexter, Carol Moore of Kennett; two brothers, Carl Moore of Malden, Marvin Moore of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Aretta Tucker and Virginia Taylor of Dexter; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
