Joseph E. "Joe" Melvin, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Arkansas to the late Edward and Josie Sprayberry Melvin. Joe and Margaret Lincoln were married Aug. 15, 1980, at Cape Girardeau.
Joe was owner of J&J Heating and Air Conditioning, loved motorcycles and trucks.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret of Cape Girardeau; children; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and four siblings.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
