CHARLESTON -- Joseph Lee Rodgers, 19, of Charleston, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1993, in Cairo, Ill.
He was born Feb. 19, 1974, in Charleston, son of William Taylor of Albany, Va., and Cindy Rodgers of Charleston.
Rodgers attended Charleston High School, and was involved with Job Corp in St. Louis. He was a member of Perry Chapel AME Church.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Bryant and Euseke Rodgers of Charleston; three sisters, Sherma and Ginger Rodgers of Charleston, Quanita Taylor of Albany; maternal grandmother, Amanda Butler of Charleston; paternal grandparents, Eve and Eugene Taylor of Buffalo, N.Y., and paternal great-grandmother, Leola Biles of Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Perry Chapel. The Rev. Joe Travis will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Friday.
