SILVER LAKE -- Joseph "Joe" A. Jannin Sr., of Silver Lake, died Friday, Feb. 8, 1991, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was 86.
He was born Aug. 27, 1904, in Perry County to the late Marcellious and Mary Louise Seifert Jannin.
He was a farmer and a member of the St. Rose of Lima Church at Silver Lake.
He married Mary Anastasia Gibbar on April 18, 1933, she proceeded him in death on March 11, 1934.
Survivors include one son, Joseph A. Jannin, Jr., of Silver Lake; five brothers, Robert Jannin and Leon Francis Jannin both of Perryville, Glennon Jannin, Lester Jannin and Vince Jannin of Silver Lake; four sisters, Mary Gibbar, Corinne McLain and Alma Anderson of Perryville, and Gladys Gibbar of Silver Lake; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by one brother, three sisters, and one grandson.
Service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Rose of Lima Church. Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville was in charge of arrangements.
