Joseph Christian "JC" Kluesner, 78, of Jackson passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1939, at Oran, Missouri, the son of Joseph D. and Anna Mae Reischman Kluesner. He and Jane E. Kirn were married Nov. 18, 1967, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri.
JC attended Oran High School. He was inducted into the United States Army on Jan. 14, 1960, and honorably discharged from service Dec. 31, 1965. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and the Bishop Timon Knights of Columbus Council 6405. JC worked at Procter & Gamble for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed working in the garden and fishing, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jane, of 50 years; three sons, Robert (Brenda) Kluesner of Glennon, Missouri, Charlie (Lesley) Kluesner and Kevin (Kim) Kluesner of Jackson; six grandchildren, Nick, Anna, Lance, Kolten, Kayley and Lainey Mae Kluesner; a brother, Bernard (Dorothy) Kluesner of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Verneda (Merle) Hopper and Catherine (Loren) Elfrink of Oran, Mildred (Joe) Kirchdoerfer of Cape Girardeau and Ernestine (the late Kenny) Bueter of Advance; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn (the late Eugene) Kluesner of Oran.
JC was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Jerome Kluesner, and four sisters Geneva Allen, Joanna Glueck, Rita Glueck and Alberta Lundgren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. A parish prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m., followed by a rosary service by Bishop Timon Knights of Columbus Council 6405.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Father John Harth officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery, with military honors.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
