CHARLESTON -- Joseph F. "Joe" Hodges, 73, of St. Louis died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996, at his home. He was born April 13, 1923, in Charleston, son of Rube Lee and Edith Lucy Fellows Hodges. CHARLESTON -- Joseph F. "Joe" Hodges, 73, of St. Louis died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996, at his home.

He was born April 13, 1923, in Charleston, son of Rube Lee and Edith Lucy Fellows Hodges.

Hodges lived in St. Louis a number of years. He retired as a dispatcher with TWA. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in St. Louis, where he was president of the Caravan Sunday School Class and assistant head usher.

Survivors include a friend, Jim Franklin of St. Louis; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, with the Rev. Michael Tooley officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from noon to service time.
