NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Joseph A. "Joe" Heisserer, 67, of New Hamburg died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 20, 1939, at Kelso, Mo., son of Joseph Phillip and Coletta L. Glastetter Heisserer. He and Clare Bucher were married Oct. 1, 1960.
Heisserer was a mechanic and farmer. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Joseph Sodality.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenric Heisserer of Old Appleton, Mo.; three daughters, Diane Hinkebein of Jackson, Dona Heisserer of Cape Girardeau, Deana Myer of Fruitland; three brothers, Elmer and Ralph Heisserer of New Hamburg, Tom Heisserer of Jackson; four sisters, Dorothy Menz of New Hamburg, Anna Bollinger of Scott City, Helen Cleary of Midwest City, Okla., Kathy Boesch of Mariton, N.J.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.
