PERRYVILLE -- Joseph H. Hagan, 70, of Perryville died Monday, April 6, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 8, 1927, at Perryville, son of John Simon and Lillian Marie Glaub Hagan. He and Eleanor M. Zahner were married Sept. 18, 1948.
Hagan retired as a bus operator with Bi-State Transit in St. Louis. He was currently working part time at Amoco in Perryville.
He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, VFW Post 4282, American Legion Post 133, and Teamsters Local 788. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael Hagan of Perryville, Richard Hagan of Monroe City, Timothy and Ronald Hagan of St. Louis; three daughters, Donna Huffstutter of O'Fallon, Judy Frasca of St. Charles, Darlene Knopp of Trenton, Ill.; two brothers, James Hagan of Denver, Colo., Vince Henry of Newark. Ohio; a sister, June Bodenschatz of Perryville; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:40 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m., and VFW wake at 6:15. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
