JOSEPH FOSTER

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Joseph H. Foster, 86, of Charleston died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Charleston Manor.

He was born Feb. 2, 1914, in Arkansas, son of Joseph Henry and Artie Byrd Foster. He and Juanita P. Hunt were married May 2, 1949, and she died April 21, 1989.

Foster lived in Charleston since 1973, moving from St. Louis, where he had been employed as a hospital dietitian.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

Survivors include a son, Joseph James Foster of Tampa, Fla., and a sister, Bertie Baker of Grubbs, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
