ORAN, Mo. -- Joseph A. "Joe" Eftink, 83, of Oran passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Herman and Cecelia Strack Eftink. He married Mary Ann Carter Halter on April 2, 1983, and she survives of the home.
Joe was a retired line worker for Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee, Missouri. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Eftink; four sons, Russell Eftink of St. Joseph, Michigan, David Eftink of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, and James and Ronald Eftink, both of Metropolis, Illinois; two daughters, Robyn Bybee of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and Susan Kluesner of Chaffee; three stepsons, Glen Fisk of Chaffee, William Halter of Cape Girardeau and John Halter of Apopka, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; five stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from noon to 3:30 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Glenn Eftink as celebrant. Burial will be at Friend Cemetery in Oran.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
