Joseph Clyde Jenkins, 85, of Advance, was born November 10, 1913, in Advance, and passed away at his home on Tues., March 9, 1999. He was the son of the late Elijah and Melinda Taylor Jenkins."Joe" was a retired farmer, a member of the Advance United Methodist Church, and a member of the church board for several years.

On May 29, 1937, he and Virginia Rendleman were married at Bloomfield, and she survives. Other survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Karen Jenkins of Bell City; two daughters and son-in-laws, Jorita and Owen Black of Portland, Ore.; and LuAnn and Ken Locks of Advance; one sister, Mary Horn of Cape Girardeau; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fri., March 12, 1999, at Morgan Funeral Home, Advance, Mo.

Services will be Sat., March 13, 1999, at 1:00 p.m. at Advance United Methodist Church, Advance, Mo. Rev. James Brice & Brother Johnny Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, (near) Bell City, Mo.
