POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Joseph Thomas Bone, 28, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Poplar Bluff. He was born Feb. 1, 1982, in Cape Girardeau. He and Rachael Smith were married Aug. 20, 2005, in Poplar Bluff. Bone was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was employed by Lampe Home Construction Co. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing with his children, coaching soccer, fishing, golfing, watching Notre Dame football, barbecuing, and lending a helping hand...

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Joseph Thomas Bone, 28, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Feb. 1, 1982, in Cape Girardeau. He and Rachael Smith were married Aug. 20, 2005, in Poplar Bluff.

Bone was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was employed by Lampe Home Construction Co. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing with his children, coaching soccer, fishing, golfing, watching Notre Dame football, barbecuing, and lending a helping hand.

Survivors include his wife; children, Hanna and Connor Bone; parents, Eldon Kenneth and Jan Marie Nauert Bone of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Sarah Bone and daughter Kyleigh Edmundson of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Danny Bone and wife Taryn of Los Angeles; and grandparents, Bill and Sue Gerecke of Cape Girardeau.

Grandparents Joseph Nauert and Eldon and Murriel Bone preceded him in death.

A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with visitation following until 8 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
