Josefa R. Clements, 67, of Jackson, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at her home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Valencia, Spain, daughter of Pedro and Pepita (Martinez Soriano) Rodriguez. She and Gilbert Clements were married Aug. 25, 1962, in Cambridge, England.
Josefa became a United States citizen Aug. 9, 1966, in the U.S. District Court in Washinton, D. C. She worked in the health-care industry. She was a member of Jackson's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Sodality.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert, of Jackson; a son, Gilbert P. Clements of Anna, Ill.; a daughter, Tricia L. Clements of St. Louis; her mother, Pepita Rodriguez of Valencia; two sisters, Pilar Perez-Domingo and Tina Perez, both of Valencia; and a brother, Miguel Angel Padillia Frias of Grenada Spain.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary led by St. Ann's Sodality. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculae Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with the Rev. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
