Jonathan Johnson, 47, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 4, 1961, in Neelyville, Mo., son of Isaac and Darlene Hudson Johnson Sr. He and Lisa Jean Payne were married Aug. 5, 1987, in Cape Girardeau.
He was a graduate of Central High School. He served in the Army. He was a self-employed electrician and contractor and also worked as a loan officer in the real estate industry.
He attended New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jonathan David Johnson; two daughters, Lakeish Johnson and Alexis Caitlin Stevens, all of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James Hudson and Isaac Johnson Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Delores Johnson and Naomi Johnson of Cape Girardeau; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating.
Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
