Jon Lewis

Jon Kent Lewis, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at his home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 27, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of Harold Marshal and Eleanor Nischwitz Lewis Jones.

Lewis had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape. He was an Eagle Scout. Lewis graduated from Central High School. He was the owner of Future Fitness Gym in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Jones of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Shirley Stoll of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Karen Scheu of St. Charles, Mo.; and his significant other, Cathy Crites of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral service was Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Henning officiating. Burial was at Cape County Memorial Park.
