Johnny Ray Wyatt, 56, of Scott City died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 2, 1956, in Sikeston, Mo., to the late Alvie D. and Maggie Ruth Tillman Wyatt.

Wyatt had worked as a supervisor at Blair Industries and later as a self-employed mechanic and trader. He was of the Catholic belief.

He married Marian Schaeffer on Nov. 28, 1972, in Sikeston. He later married Karla Scherer in December 1981 in Chaffee, Mo.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Ray and Jerri Wyatt Jr., Michael Ray Wyatt and Justin Ray Wyatt of Scott City and Charles Cowell of Kelso, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lacie and Jim Griffaw and Sheena and Brian Phipps of Scott City; two sisters, Betty Saulsberry of Sikeston and Dottie Lutes of Morehouse, Mo.; and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with Allen Lutes, a nephew, officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Phipps, Jim Griffaw, Jason Reddick, Bobby Duncan, John Graham and Neil Pate.
