ANNA, Ill. -- Johnny Lynn, 79, of Anna died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 22, 1922, in Pulaski County, Ill., son of John and Margaret Moore Lynn. He and Dorothy Dougherty were married March 13, 1944. She died May 27, 2001.
Lynn was a refrigeration and air conditioning specialist at Choate Mental Health Center 30 years. He was a member of First Christian Church and had served as a deacon, elder, and Sunday School teacher. He was a volunteer many years at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Craig of Anna; a sister, Anna Nalley of Ullin, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dr. Dave Soucie officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
