ANNA, Ill. -- Johnnie A. Dale, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Dongola, son of John W. and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Dale. He and Alberta Philbrick were married July 27, 1946...
ANNA, Ill. -- Johnnie A. Dale, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Dongola, son of John W. and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Dale. He and Alberta Philbrick were married July 27, 1946.
Dale was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola. He served in the U.S. Army during World war II.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Iva Rhymer and Inez Snell of Anna.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alonzo Dale officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
