MOREHOUSE -- John Taylor Williams, 57, of Morehouse died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at the Sikeston Health Care Center.

He was born Nov. 16, 1939, son of Huley and Irene Sherrard Williams. He was a retired gas station manager and a member of the Eagles Club 3319 in Sikeston.

He is survived by a son, John Williams II of Indianapolis; a daughter, Susie Franks of Lonoke, Ariz.; four brothers, Gerald and Jerry Williams, both of Morehouse, Joe Williams of Bristol, Wis., and Jack Williams of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Thelma Roberts of Morehouse and Hazel Asher of Ellsinore; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins & Sons Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
