John Floyd Webb Sr., 47, of Pensacola, Fla., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Orlando, Fla.
He was in Orlando with his high school choir, performing at Disney World's Christmas Cantata.
Mr. Webb was born May 17, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late William F. Webb and Viola Webb Cook.
He was a teacher at Pensacola High School and the University of West Florida. He was a member of Pine Forrest United Methodist Church.
Mr. Webb graduated from Central High School in 1972, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and graduated from North Texas State in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Marie Webb; sons, John Floyd Webb Jr., Kyle Byron and James Webb, all of Pensacola; daughters, Janet J. Lister of Dallas, Texas, Nikki Byron of Pensacola; a sister, Karen Webb McClendon of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Alex; aunt, Louise Cole of Cape Girardeau; uncle, Henry Cole of Jackson, Mo.; a niece, Laura Margrabe of Cape Girardeau; nephews, David McClendon of Henderson, Tenn., Michael McClendon with the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego, Calif.; a stepsister, Roberta Seabaugh of Oak Ridge, Mo.; two stepbrothers, Ed Cook of Lilburn, Ga., and Doyle Cook of Australia.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, State Highway 177. The Rev. Jim Hogue of Cape Girardeau and the Rev. Boytt Willis, retired, of De Soto, Mo., will officiate.
