Gerald "John" Weaver, 60, of Scott City died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Boonville, Missouri, to Challes Lee and Helen Marie Grotewiel Weaver.
He was a pilot for American Commercial Barge Line. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was a member of BMW Riders Association.

He is survived by two brothers, Al (Terrie) Weaver of Jackson and Sidney Weaver of Perryville, Missouri; and two sisters, Lula Simpson of Scott City and Mary Eileen Jost of Hawks Point, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Military honors will be performed at 7 p.m. by the Missouri Military Honors.
