JOHN W. BAKER

MARBLE HILL -- John W. Baker, 81, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1992 at the Advance Nursing Care Center.

He was born Aug. 12, 1911 near Lutesville to Samuel P. and Janie Eaker Baker.

He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Clubb Creek General Baptist Church, just south of Marble Hill.

On Dec. 22, 1937, he married Ulene Collins. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Justin Baker of Hazelwood, and Fred Baker of Zalma; three daughters, Yvonne Cato of Hazelwood, Faye Smith of Marquand, and Laverne Owens of Purdin; one brother, Fred Baker of Marble Hill; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, two brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill today after 4:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating. Burial will follow in Clubb Creek Cemetery.
