ANNA, Ill. -- John von Zedtwitz, 84, of New Orleans, La., died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in New Orleans.

He was born Jan. 3, 1912, in New York, son of John and Augusta Schleif von Zedtwitz. He and Mary Louise Pickett were married Sept. 30, 1945, in New Orleans.

Zedtwitz was a retired pilot with Delta Airlines.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Roxanne von Zedtwitz-Case of Inglewood, Calif.; a son, John von Zedtwitz III of Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Anna Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Anna is in charge of arrangements.
