John Wilson Tracy Jr., 84, of Daisy died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis. He was born June 19, 1920, in Corning, Ark., son of John Wilson and Iva Ellen Hurst Tracy. He and Audrey Jane Smith were married July 17, 1949. Tracy farmed in the Daisy area all his life, and was a maintenance worker at Washington University in St. Louis...

John Wilson Tracy Jr., 84, of Daisy died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born June 19, 1920, in Corning, Ark., son of John Wilson and Iva Ellen Hurst Tracy. He and Audrey Jane Smith were married July 17, 1949.

Tracy farmed in the Daisy area all his life, and was a maintenance worker at Washington University in St. Louis.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John Tracy III of Friedheim; a brother, James Tracy of Corning; a sister, Julia Murray of Foley, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Randy Satterfield officiating. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery near Corning.
