CAIRO, Ill. -- John J. Theriac Sr., 73, of Cairo died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the home of a daughter in Cairo.
He was born Oct. 22, 1930, in East St. Louis, Ill., son of Fred J. and Elizabeth Wilson Theriac. He married Juanita V. Theriac, who died in 1984.
Theriac had been an operator at Bunge Corp. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Riggs of Cairo, Pam Baird of Edwardsville, Ill., Mary Ann Theriac of Herrin, Ill.; two sons, John Theriac Jr. of Cobden, Ill., Fred Theriac of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, Jerry Theriac of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Gholson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes, Ill., with military honors by Pulaski County Memorial VFW Post 8891 in Mounds, Ill.
