John Willard Stinson, 77, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his home. He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Wiscasset, Maine, to William and Mary Boudin Stinson. John Willard Stinson, 77, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Wiscasset, Maine, to William and Mary Boudin Stinson.

He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he met his first wife, Nancy. She preceded him in death in 2009.

John worked 36 years in St. Louis as an aircraft mechanic for McDonnell Douglas, Ozark, TWA and American Airlines. He retired in 2003.

John and Giovanna King were married in 2011 in Las Vegas.

John loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, especially attending their numerous sporting events and extracurricular activities.

John is survived by his wife, Giovanna of Jackson; son, Jerry Stinson of St. Charles, Missouri; daughters, Johna (T.J.) Toedebusch of St. Charles, Amanda Stinson of Jackson and Mary Stinson (Jerry Frost) of Springfield, Missouri; son-in-Law, Kevin Bolen of Jackson; bonus son, Kenny Woods of Jackson; bonus daughter, Misty Simmons of Springfield; brother, Lowell (Priscilla) Stinson of Wiscasset; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and a daughter, Terri Bolen.

Visitation was held Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions to Crown Hospice.
