COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral service for John Sellars of Hillsboro will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Revs. James Holderfield and Ezra Reames will officiate, with burial in Menees Cemetery near Goreville.
Friends may call at the funeral home until service time.
Sellars, 66, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

He was born Oct. 1, 1930, at Cobden, son of Louie and Lucy Toler Sellars.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Sellars of Springfield, Mo., Diane Sellars of Minnesota City, Minn., Betty Friedman of Albert Lea, Minn.; four sisters, Emma Crews of Hillsboro, Peggy Havlik of Huntington Beach, Calif., Lora Greene of Sebree, Ky., Daisy Crowe of Florissant; six brothers, Carl Sellars of Cobden, Charles Sellars of Evansville, Ind., Harmon Sellars of Mesa, Ariz.; Richard Sellars of Ottawa, L.H. Sellars of Upland, Calif., David Sellars of Springfield; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
