John Schweer

John A. Schweer, 82, of Springfield, Mass., passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 21, 1931, in Jackson, son of Willie "Bill" Schweer and Ella Marie Sadler Schweer Mantz.

John served in the United States military 32 years and retired in Springfield.

Loving survivors include his wife, Betty Zatalonin Schweer; two daughters; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Koeppel; and a stepbrother, Harold Mantz.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Schweer; a sister, Mae Eanes; and a stepbrother, Kenneth Mantz.

The service was held in Springfield.
