John O. Davis, 76, of Bonne Terre, formerly of Cape Girardeau, was found dead Wednesday, March 18, 1992, near Wappapello.
He was born April 12, 1915, son of Earl and Ella Nichols Davis.
Davis was a salesman with Delta Distributing Co. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II, and was a prisoner of war.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerrette Hobson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Ruth Krakola of St. Louis, Georgia Hamlin of Las Vegas, Nev., and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.
There is no visitation.
