MARBLE HILL -- John Myrl Harris, 83, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, April 8, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 29, 1910, at Dongola, Mo., the son of John Henry Harris and Lillie Mae Rowe Harris.
He married Leota M. Speer on Nov. 21, 1931, in Marble Hill. She died Nov. 23, 1985.
He was retired from the Florence Roper Stove Co., of Kankakee, Ill., and a member of the Worldwide Church of God of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include one son, Myrl Dean of Advance; two daughters, Betty Jean Sitzes of St. Louis, and Linda L. Shell of Marble Hill; one brother, John C. Harris of Kankakee, Ill.; one sister, Essie Mae David of Mexico, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Saturday. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with Brother Arnold Clawson officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
