T. John Mulkey, 70, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 26, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to Tinsley John and Verna Mae Cole Mulkey. T. John married his wife, Marlys, July 26, 1985, in Las Vegas.
He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound, where he served as ruling elder. T. John served as stated clerk of the North Texas Presbytery 21 years. He worked throughout his career as a petroleum engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys; children, T. John Mulkey III and wife Lisa and Steven Mulkey and wife Tammy of Flower Mound, Ryan Mulkey of Brooklyn, N.Y., Rachel Mulkey and Mary Mulkey of Flower Mound; four grandchildren; a sister, Mary Watkins of Justin, Texas; two brothers, Richard Mulkey of Denton, Texas, and James Mulkey of Colorado Springs, Colo.
A service to celebrate T. John's life will be held at 11 a.m. today at Christ Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Canales will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at Rosston Cemetery in Rosston, Texas.
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
