PARMA -- Funeral service for John Marvin Morley of Parma will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, with the Rev. Darren Baker officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery at Bernie.
Morley, 82, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born Jan. 28, 1915, in Rector, Ark., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison Morley. He and Lola Lorene Johnson were married March 27, 1939, in Reyno, Ark.
Morley moved to Parma in 1952 from Clay County, Ark. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Adell and Wayne Morley of Parma, Eugene Morley of Yuma, Ariz., George Morley of Kennett, Calvin Morley of Lake City, Ark., Billy Morley of Bernie; four daughters, Peggy Atteberry of Naylor, Nora Jordan of Natchitoches, La., Betty Jordan of Coushatta, La., Dessie Babb of Clarkton; 37 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
