SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- John B. Miinch, age 66, of Sedgewickville passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 28, 1951, at Fredericktown, Missouri, son of Lowell and Wilma (Peterman) Miinch. He and Vickie Rhodes were united in marriage on Oct. 29, 1972.
John worked for Hacker Plumbing and Heating of Cape Girardeau. John was not only a plumber by trade but considered himself to be the "Best Plumber" in Cape Girardeau.
John loved God and his country and was a very patriotic man. He enjoyed playing softball, basketball, volleyball, fishing, hunting and being in the outdoors. Although John had many hobbies, his family always came first, and he loved them dearly. John was a friend to anyone who knew him and will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie (Rhodes) Miinch of Sedgewickville; a son, Andrew (Kathi) Miinch of Sedgewickville; a daughter, April Seabaugh of Sedgewickville; brothers Harold (Paulette) Miinch and Doug Miinch of Patton, Missouri; sisters Jo (Jay) Mitchem of Patton and Vicki Ambrose of Bethalto, Illinois; grandchildren Lucian Seabaugh, Elias Miinch, Jacob McAnally and Jessica Davis; great-grandchildren Kate McAnally, Quinn McAnally, Daisy Davis and Cannon Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donnie Ford and Don Estes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
