John Menz Sr.

CHAFFEE, Mo. — John Menz Sr., 90, of Chaffee passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the family home.

He was born in Randles to the late Joseph and Sarah Smith Menz. He married Dorothy L. Gramlisch on Jan. 13, 1947, and she preceded him in death May 2, 2009.

He was retired from construction and was a former welder. John was saved in the Randles Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by a son, Jay Menz of Chaffee; two daughters, Shirley Barber and Elizabeth Williams, both of Chaffee; a sister, Geraldine Lancaster of Randles; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe; four brothers; and a sister.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
