SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- John David Mayabb, 48, of Scott City died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Clifford Lewis and Edna Virginia Keppner Mayabb. He and Amy Mae Marie Gipson were married March 20, 1993, at Glen Allen, Mo.
Mayabb was a carpenter with Laborers Union Local 773 in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of Lutesville General Baptist Church. He moved to Scott City 11 years ago from Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two stepchildren; five brothers, Kenneth Sumner of Scott City, Ronald Sumner of Memphis, Tenn., Jerry Mayabb of St. Louis, Clifford and Michael Mayabb of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Marilyn Schildt of Scott City, Peggy Kelley of Killeen, Texas, Judy Sharp of Joppa, Ill., and Linda Fisher of Jackson, Mo.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. Rennie Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
