SCOTT CITY -- John Martin Snider, 74, of Scott City, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1993, at his home.
He was born July 10, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, son of Samuel Colbert and Ona Moore Snider.
Snider was a maintenance worker at Dow Chemical in Cape Girardeau. He served 30 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, and was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Scott City, SEMO Amateur Radio Club, VFW Post 3838 and American Legion Post 63 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Snider of Scott City, Frank Snider of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Inez Meyer of Scott City, Mary Higgason and Alma Fowler of Hawkins, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
There is no visitation.
