BLOOMFIELD -- John Albert Long, 54, died Monday, June 3, 1996, in Houston, Texas.

He was born Feb. 2, 1942, near Essex, son of Theron Cleveland and Edna Marie Robinson Long.

Survivors include two sons, John Long of O'Fallon, Andrew Long with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif.; his parents; six brothers, Theron Long Jr. of O'Fallon, Robert Long of Granite City, Ill., Daniel Long of Essex, William Long of New Madrid, Darrol Long of Idalia, Robin Long of Parma Heights, Ohio; five sisters, Shirley Angel, Sandra Mowry and Patricia Charest of St. Louis, Linda Courtemanche of state of California, Shannon Heilman of Bloomfield, and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery near Idalia.
