John G. Leming, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girar-deau.
He was born June 30, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, son of William E. and Lela Grisham Leming. He and Jean Stevenson were married December 1950 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. She died April 23, 2000.
He attended Southeast Missouri State College and graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla in 1943 with honors. He was an electrical engineer for General Electric and Bell Aerospace for many years and helped develop guidance systems for guided missiles after World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Niagara Falls.
He is survived by a son, John W. Leming of East Greenbush, N.Y., and a brother, Merit Leming of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded by his parents, his wife and one brother.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chateau Girardeau, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating
