JONESBORO, Ill. -- John L. O'Daniell, 83, of Carmi, Ill., formerly of Alto Pass, Ill., died Saturday, April 10, 1993, at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi, Ill.

He was born June 17, 1909, at Anna, Ill., son of David and Fannie Boyer O'Daniell.

He married Lucille Wallace in 1929. She died in 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Paynter of Carmi, Ill.; two brothers, Herman O'Daniell of Cobden, Ill., Albert O'Daniell of Jonesboro, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill.

Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery.
