CHAFFEE -- John L. Gosche, 75, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, June 1, 1994, at his home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1918, at New Hamburg, son of Leo and Alvina Klipfel Gosche. He and Delphine J. Glueck were married Oct. 23, 1951.
Gosche was a self-employed farmer and carpenter, retiring in 1964. He was a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received three Bronze Stars.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Ambrose Men's Club, past president of the parish council, member of American Association of Retired Persons, and Sikeston Eagles 3319.
He was a life member of VFW Post 3127, American Legion Post 369, Elks Aerie 1810, all in Chaffee, Cape County DAV Chapter 16, and life honorary member of Oran Knights of Columbus Council 4311.
Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Annie Miederhoff of Oran, and Lorena Enderle of Chaffee.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 2 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7 and KC rosary at 7:30.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
