JOHN L. CODY

BELL CITY -- John L. Cody, 88, of Bell City, died Saturday, March 12, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 15, 1905, son of Bud and Mary Kennedy Cody.

A retired farmer, he was a member of the Bell City General Baptist Church.

He married Hassie Tierce on Jan. 10, 1932 at Kentucky Bend, Ky. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Robert Cody of Mestestta, Wyo., and James Cody of Scotts Hill, Tenn.; one daughter, Mary Schuler, Cornell, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Six brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with the Rev. Doyle Stogsdill officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
