John E. Keirce, 49, 1918, Weissinger, died suddenly Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Jan. 10, 1948, in Cairo, Ill., son of Edwin and Martha Johnson Keirce. He and Betty S. McChristian were married June 7, 1969, in Cairo.
Keirce was maintenance manager at Lee-Rowan Co. He formerly worked at Superior Electric.
He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was a member of Iota Lambda Sigma fraternity, and member of Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Cairo; and a half brother, Charles Marshall of Charleston.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Wes Wright officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
