JACKSON -- John Lilbourn Jones, 84, of Franklin, Ky., died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Franklin.
He was born July 1, 1915, in Cape Girardeau County, son of John Hubert and Hattie F. Ramsey Jones. He and Edna D. Mayfield were married June 17, 1933. She died Dec. 19, 1991.
Jones had been a self-employed livestock dealer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge.
Survivors include five sons, Gary Jones of Big Rock, Tenn., Wayne Jones of Newport Beach, Calif., Michael Jones of White House, Tenn., Robert Jones of Indianapolis, Ind., David Jones of Millersville; three daughters, Carolyn Golden of Franklin, Sandra McGurk of Boomer, N.C., and Linda Foster of Fairmont, Ind.
Also surviving are three brothers, Floyd Jones of Reno, Nev., Bill Jones of Las Vegas, Nev., Larry Jones of Jackson; a sister, Novella Gilland of Phoeniz, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jon Sedgwick officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
