JOHN JOHNSON

MOUNDS, Ill. -- John B. Johnson, 78, of Mounds, died Wednesday, April 24, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 10, 1917, at Joppa, son of John and Maude Sears Johnson. He married Mary Jane Goins, who died Feb. 10, 1994.

Johnson was retired from the Budd Co. in Detroit, Mich.

Survivors include a brother, Wesley Johnson of Karnak; two sisters, Edith Murphy of Evansville, Ind., and Roberta Brown of Mounds.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
